Facility Description: This acute care facility specializes in the treatment of the most critical and complex medical and surgical conditions. They offer a variety of programs and services to match the patient's acuity and individual needs.
The physicians on our medical staff, along with our nurses and therapists, work closely together to improve the physical, emotional and functional wellness of our patients. Our programs are designed to move patients from an acute care setting toward achieving their highest level of wellness possible.
Our goal is to return each patient to his or her maximum level of wellness without compromising quality of care. We strive to provide satisfaction of care to the patient's family, physician and case manager.
This facility has 137 beds and is specifically well known for their cardiac care programs.
Position Description: Using independent judgement, the Director, Surgical Services is responsible for the coordination, development and evaluation of all outcome activities in the Perioperative areas including: OR inpatient and outpatient, PACU, Endo, Cath Labon the surgical post operative floor. This position reports to the CNO. Responsible for communication of results and participation in development of strategies for improvement as a member of the hospital management team. This position is required to use independent discretion and judgment with respect to supervisory and management decisions and recommendations.
Experience Required: Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Must have leadership experience. Training and education as a team leaders, facilitator, and team builder preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse.
Experience: Minimum of five years in one of the following areas: OR and PACU nursing.
Interpersonal Skills: Proficient in computers for quality programs: Excel spreadsheets and statistical tools, process management computer tools, able to do word processing to create reports. Requires the ability hear and verbalize information. Must have the ability to effectively communicate knowledge and information to all hospital staff, team members, patients and families.
