Facility Description:

 This facility is located in the heart of Albuquerque. Acute care facility dedicated to the health of Women. The first and only hospital in New Mexico devoted entirely to women's health. Designed for women, the new Women's Hospital features a family birthing center with 16 labor and delivery recovery rooms, 41 postpartum beds, a neonatal intensive care unit, a special care nursery, a pediatric urgent care center and a well-baby nursery.


Position Description:

 Directs and administers operational, fiscal and personnel activities for Labor and Delivery unit  in accordance with established regulatory agencies. 16 LDR's 65 FTE's Supervied. Prepares and manages budgets, manages/supervises staff and ensures quality services are provided through daily operations. Manages clinical operations and development for assigned area(s) with measurable improvements in clinical outcomes and customer patient satisfaction. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety..

 


Requirements: Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Nursing; .
Desired: Masters Degree AWHON certification RNC in L&D

Ability to influence, motivate, manage, train, direct, counsel and develop staff; communication and positive employee relation skills; knowledge of regulatory standards for compliance

Five (5) years relevant clinical experience of which three (3) years must have been in a management capacity. Relevant education and/or experience may be substituted in accordance to policy
Valid NM RN License or valid multi-state compact license and BLS; HIRING DEPARTMENT MAY ALSO REQUIRE ACLS and or PALS


 


 

 

Experience Required:  Appropriate licensure and credentials.
